The Stripotetke Association recognized the importance of promoting traditionally invisible topics within the framework of the ninth art, and gathered 11 female authors from Serbia who, each in their own way, addressed the topic of working from home and at home through the form of comics.
This is how the anthology of short comics "At Home" was born – 11 comic stories in which anyone who has at least once encountered problems of balance between work and private life, imposed and internalized gender roles, loneliness, isolation or an overly intrusive environment can be recognized. In October 2023, the anthology of short comics "Kod kuće" was awarded the "Bogdan Kršić" award for the most beautiful book of the International Book Fair in Belgrade, and in March 2024, the association Stripotetka received the Bring the Noize award "for terrible illustrators" of the Feminist Cultural Center BeFem.
Visitors to the Animanima festival will have the opportunity to enjoy the "At Home" exhibition, where a selection of comic strips from this exceptional collection will be displayed, and to see for themselves the creative wealth that domestic authors have to offer the audience.
