Here is an exhibition not to be missed this year at Animanima. Finnish photographer Timo Viljakainen used to photograph animators, at festivals, on the streets, in studios, alleys and other interesting indoor and outdoor spaces.
Frederick Back, Andreas Hykade, Michaela Pavlatova, Jan Pinkava, Raoul Servais, Paul Driessen, Bill Plympton and dozens of others appeared in his photographs. And it might have remained one of the ordinary collections if the master of photography from Helsinki hadn't thought of a magical detail: he asked each animator to close his eyes for a moment, and then he pressed the camera's shutter button...
The exhibition will be opened in the gallery at the Middle Lobby of the Cultural center as part of the festival's opening program on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the presence of its author. Welcome!
