Passionate readers of the cult comic revue Stripoteka will immediately guess that Stripotetke made lucid word game by choosing a name for an artistic group that will become a kind of cultural phenomenon from its first appearance in public.
The anthology of the short comic "At Home" published by "Besna kobila" (2023) includes the works of members of the Stripotetke association, Jana Adamović Yana, Iva Atoski, Selena Danilović, Jelena Đorđević, Lea Embeli, Ivana Filipović, Danica Jevđović, Biljana Mihajlović, Ana Milojković Omi, Ana Petrović and Dragana Radanović, on whose pages the authors observe from their artistic point of view the delicate balance between work and private life, imposed and internalized gender roles.
The exhibition of works from this extraordinary collection of short comics can be seen at Animanima 2024 in the Art Galleries at ground floor and the 1st of Cultural Center, and will be available to visitors until November 16. We also invite you to meet one of the authors, Danica Jevđović, who will guide all those interested through the exhibition, on Saturday, November 9 at 3 p.m.
